Obama's performance does not appeal to many people, en particular the people who are closest to him in political stature. Senators and Representatives have turned their back on him, . They have tried to humiliate the President at every step, blocking his measures and laws calling him every name in the book in the most abject disrespect that the office of POTUS has ever received. Not even Clinton, one of the biggest scoundrels of recent American politics was so ever disrespected as Obama has.
What is really remarkable is that is no way to predict what is happening. One would have bet that the questionable and insidious race relations in America would have improved. The reality is that the pundits and talking heads of all stripes, have increased their rhetoric to levels unheard of, they like their congressional brethren have really shown their true colors. Not even when Weapons of Mass Destruction were conjured up to kill more than half million Iraqis many of the civilians, close to 5000 US troops. Or when weapons were exchanged for cocaine during the Nicaraguan conflict.
